The local fabric of space-time near Station V3 is stretched rather thin making tears to a specific Alternate Universe very common. This universe often appears in the strip with alternate versions of every cast member, with Floyd being the most developed. One of the key inverses between the two Universes is beards, if you have one in one, you don't in the other.
