There are an infinite number of Universes, some the same, some slightly different, some completely different. Some key times alternate Universes have come into play include causing Violet and the Plant to be able to communicate, Morty Ebb and Neap to be able to speak, Hyperspace to be lost, and the entire universe other then the solar system to go missing.
