Morty

Morty is the assistant maintenance engineer on Station V3. Morty is a Vitezian Slime Fungus, a variety of intelligent mushroom. Morty was generally not known to talk, but since a shift into an alternate universe, he and Neap (and Ebb) have been able to communicate with the rest of the crew without any apparent difficulty. Morty is occasionally mistaken for his brother, a notorious troublemaker (who usually does not wear a hat, while Morty usually does).
