Gordon is one of Z7's administrators the other being Harold, he often is visited by and vast number of other Gordons who make there home in the Gordon Dimension who have caused all sorts of havoc for Gordon and station Z7. He often ends up drifting off into space, and by the present point in the story, it has become unclear which Gordon he actually is.
