Rock & Roll
This year, the Dave Clark 5 finally got nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. But now they've announced the inductees, and they didn't get in. Oh well. Maybe if they're ever nominated again, the Hall can get it right next time. I suppose if they ever let in everyone who should be in there but isn't, people wouldn't have as much fun coming up with "everyone who should be in there but isn't" lists!
Back on the subject of webcomics, and Station V3 in particular, today's new voting bonuses are a
bad translation of today's strip, and some very detailed, highly technical instructions on rebooting Floyd. (
Part one and
part two) If you have a request for a bonus (or want to join in on the round of Station V3 "stupid answer, stupid question" going on), feel free to visit the
forum!

The Bonus Alternative
Today's new bonuses are an
alternate version of today's strip, an
alternate billboard for V3 on the planet, and if you missed it from a couple days ago, a photo of Ebb with an
alternate computer for the station. Thank You to everyone who's been voting for V3!

Happy Thanksgiving/November 24!
If you're celebrating it today: Happy Thanksgiving!
If not: Happy November 24!

42!
This 42 isn't a Douglas Adams reference (though there is a connection), but rather the number of years ago today that
Doctor Who first went on the air, with the episode "An Unearthly Child." Be sure to listen to your favorite John Smith & the Common Men record to celebrate. Or maybe watch an episode of the show. :)
In other news, buzzComix seems to be back up after a server move (though it's back where it was November 8, since that was when the backup was from), so here's a new
bonus photo of Ebb with the new computer he bought for the station.

An update
Site update: It seems I haven't updated the
bonus archive in a while, so I've just added the 20 assorted strips and sketches that went up as voting incentives between the last time I updated it and
the current three. (buzzComix may or may not be working right now... looks like I may not have picked the best day to have a V3 ad up there.)
Other update: At the rate I'm going (or rather, not going) it doesn't look like I'll have the thing I'm working on for
NaNoWriMo done by the end of the month, but I'm not going to declare it a total loss just yet. I could add "I am a fish" to the end of it 11,625 times and call it done... Or maybe even make some actual progress on it. (You never know!)

Record Show
There was a record show in Wilkes-Barre today, which I had completely forgotten about (shame on me) until my wife Karen reminded me. We weren't looking for anything in particular, but went for a quick look anyway and picked up a dozen 45s.
On that note, today's bonuses are a
sketch of Ebb at the record show, a
photo of Ebb at home with the 45s he found, and a
new record on the Ebb's own label. Thank you to everyone who's been voting for Station V3!
(And if you're curious what those records in the photo are, there's a list of them
here on the forum.)

New Who
There was a special Doctor Who scene done for the BBC's Children In Need Appeal night, and it's online
here.

Station V3 is Still Missing
It's been over a month now since the station disappeared, and they still haven't found it... But I suppose if Blake's 7 could get through two seasons without Blake, Station V3 can get through a month or two without the station. (But I'm not planning to replace my computer with Slave.)
Today's new bonuses: At
buzzComix, a look at what the people who put up V3's signs on the planet are doing now that it's missing. At
TopWebcomics, one of the pirates working on my NaNoWriMo bit for me. And at
Webcomics List, a bad translation of today's strip. (As over!)

Back In Color Again
April (which starts off with an April Fools guest strip from Charles Brubaker of
Tex and Jenny) was in color before I switched hosts - and now it's in color again. And now so is
last April!
In other news, more V3 (and Z7) strips have been transcribed for
Oh No Robot - thanks to Tankred, Kittenelite, and The Anonymous Benefactor. :)

More Bonus!
Today's bonuses: a
sketch of a rumormonger writing his novel (and probably doing better with it than I am!), and a
bad translation of today's strip. (If you missed yesterday's, it's
here.) Thanks for voting!
And also thanks to anyone who's been putting in transcriptions for
Oh No Robot - especially Tankred, who put in a bunch both for Station V3 and
Z7!

Oh No! Robot!
I've signed Station V3 (and Z7) up for
Oh No Robot, a search engine where you can search through transcripts of strips from various webcomics. So far about a month and a half of Station V3 strips (some from the beginning, some recent) have been transcribed. So that's what the "transcribe this comic" buttons on most of the strips in the archive are for. :)
Today's
bonus is a very bad translation (which needs no transcription) of today's strip.

TV news
Some good TV-related news: Two of my favorite Dr. Who stories, "The Claws of Axos" and "City of Death," come out on DVD today. Also, The Office (US) is getting a full second season. :)

NaNoWriMo
There's been a lot of talk online about
NaNoWriMo lately - which is to be expected, since November is the Mo in which you're supposed to Wri your No... Basically, the idea is to write a 50,000 word novel this month. Not necessarily a good one - just to get 50,000 words down on paper (or the screen, stone tablet, whatever). So I might give this a shot - specifically, I'm going to try to write a Station V3 novel this month. I already know the characters, so that's a start! If I come up with anything readable, I'll let you know.
In today's new voting bonuses (
here,
here, and
here), we see Floyd, Morty, and one of the pirates (not necessarily in that order) also making their attempts at writing a novel!

Third bonus
Webcomics List seems to be up now, so here's a
third bonus sketch following up on
yesterday's two!
On an unrelated note, people were searching for some interesting things when they found Station V3 last month... I've posted a list of what they were looking for up in the
forum.

Trick or Tripe
If you missed out on trick-or-treating yesterday, try this... The Chef's set up in his new location on the ship looking for V3. There are two bonus sketches up today (one at
TopWebcomics, one at
buzzComix) - in one the Chef's got a trick for you. In the other, he's got... tripe.
The third list, Webcomics List, appears to be down right now. Looks like the domain name expired yesterday. But Station V3 did make the top 40 there last month before it went down. Thanks for voting! :)
